Dividend Income Report for 2020 Q3 – Early Retirement Earl

October is here and with it, the start of a new quarter which means it is time for our quarterly dividend income report. Last quarter I earned close to $1500 in dividend income. Lets see what happened in Q2.

Total for Q3 = $1316.85

$1316.85 is my total dividend income for the 3rd quarter of 2020. In quarter 1 I earned $1292.68 in dividend income and in quarter 2 $1462.26 bringing my 2020 total to $4071.79. That is just $262 short of my total for the entire year of 2019 with 3 more months to go.

I will certainly smash last years total but I’m pretty sure I will fall short of my goal of $6500 for 2020. I would need to earn another $2500 in the last 3 months of the year and given the fact that I have never even exceeded $1500 and I do not expect to invest much more into the market in 2020, I should expect to land about $1000 short of my goal yet still a great deal ahead of last year.

We shall see.
